The time has come to pack my things and head to the airport. Bittersweet.
It’s a shame I have to leave such a beautiful country when I saw only the tiniest bit of it. So much more to explore! On the other hand.. I miss my sister, Prague that is getting ready for Christmas, and my bed.. And my friends and family and in general, my home.
It’s snowing in Czech now – I love snow! And strolling around Christmas markets, drinking mulled wine to get warm.. My favorite time of the year😊
Better to look on the bright side of life.
And honestly, it’s getting boring here in Kathmandu, especially when I’m alone. I saw everything I could in those 3 days and something – yesterday I crossed Boudhanath off my list. Reeeally pretty. It was completely renovated after the earthquake so it shines with newness. I recommend to find a restaurant nearby, sit at the rooftop there, enjoy some good meal and watch the hustle down below. You just soak up the atmosphere while being completely relaxed.
Then you can go around the stupa, as I did several times (it takes quite a long time though), chant a bit if you want, maybe make a wish as well and watch how sunset changes the ambience around. It’s also worth to visit the temple right next to it (no idea how’s it called) – you can go to its rooftop where the stupa view is even nicer and light a candle.
If I could, I would go on another trek, probably around Anapurna. Mountains always beat the city. Who knows, maybe next season?😜
