I woke up in the morning, face swollen. It happens when you are so high. Altitude headache lasted until 3am, but now is gone.
Today we climbed the Nangkartshang peak (5073m) and omg, what a climb! We set off around 8am and I reached the top around 10:40am (would have finished on a second place, but the guy that was walking with me – behind me all the time, decided to massage his ego and outrun me during the last 10m).
I must say it was a difficult climb, starting at 4315m, so the total elevation was more than 700m, total distance around 2,5km. So as you can see, pretty steep. I was breathing really hard, especially towards the end – 1 step, breath in, breath out, or even more. You can feel it that there’s not much oxygen above 5000m! But I’m proud of myself! I exceeded my own expectations and the rewarding view at the top was the best!
Lubi went a bit behind, but she managed as well and that’s important! We are competing only against ourselves😉
Rest of the day was very relaxing, chatting with people, playing Uno cards, getting warm, eat and just chill. That’s what the rest/acclimatization day is about, isn’t it?😊
And after another 3 days, we took a shower hihi😁 Last place where there is a normal shower and not a bucket shower (remember ice bucket challenge? We would win😂). My hair will have to survive the next 8-10 days, uff😖
