We woke up with the sunrise around 6am, packed our things and had breakfast at 7. I ordered pancake with honey and masala tea (❤️😍) and indeed, I got A pancake – huuuge one and super delicious!
We set off around 7:30 and I must say that the way from Lukla to Namche is like a highway. So if you are considering trekking in here, no worries – it would be impossible for anyone to get lost, just follow the crowd🙂 Can’t say how it will look like later on, probably less people on the way, but will see.
After small lunch that we had around 10:30 (because that was the last area where we could get some food before arriving to Namche), steep climb was ahead of us – 800m elevation, but it went quite ok. I’m happy with my performance😁 We saw so many beautiful places – rope bridges, mountain views, river with incredibly clean water.. See for yourself:
Those remaining 200 and something meters of elevation took us approx 45minutes and then we arrived to Namche. The minute I stepped into the village, cold wind started to blow, with like 10 degrees difference from one meter ago. The whole time I was walking in a shirt with short sleeves but now definitely not. We got our room around 1:30pm, got some tea (masala in my case hihi) and then we decided to take a short walk around the village – to make one Nepali bread, as Prakash said – meaning to make a circle around the village😊
So after a 6h trek, we still climbed 200m higher than our hotel and admired the views. Why? It is recommended to sleep lower than the maximum height we climbed that day – it helps with the AMS (acute mountain sickness) and the sleep quality should be also better afterwards. Neither me, nor Lubi are feeling any symptoms so we should be just fine.
